Switch Grass
Description: Foliage emerges bluish-green and by late June turns burgundy-red to form a narrow, tall foliage. In summer, finely-textured, reddish-pink flower panicles appear over the foliage.
Planting/Use: Best planted in groups. Can also be used for perennial borders, meadows, wild gardens or naturalized areas.
General Care: Moist to wet fertile soil; tolerates a wide range of soil types including dry sandy soil; thrives in clay soil.
